The Office for Healthcare Workforce creates discipline-specific reports, publishes the South Carolina Health Professions Data Book, responds to data requests and more to provide unbiased information to decision makers when they need it.
This report reviews the success of the J-1 Visa Waiver program (Conrad 30) in South Carolina between 1995 and 2018. A total of 485 physicians have been sponsored in the state with the majority (81%) staying in state to practice beyond their initial obligation period.
